With RMC Managed Services, QSI offers comprehensive remote managed services, providing the highest level of security for your network of endpoints (ATMs, ITMs, TCRs, DVRs, self-service technology, etc.).

Each endpoint receives timely and regularly scheduled software patches and updates per manufacturer recommendations. A robust set of security services which protect against logical attacks is also available. With QSI’s RMC Managed Security Services, equipment is secure against cyber and other nefarious criminal attacks. QSI reports and documentation may be used for evidence of compliancy.

Through RMC, QSI is able to remote into your endpoints to troubleshoot and resolve whenever possible. In addition, we provide distribution of software updates and security solutions described below.

Software and Patch Management

  • Includes remote distribution of software updates to endpoints.
  • Monthly distributions of application and XFS updates and Microsoft Security patches, as available.
  • Service includes:
    • Creating and maintain software inventory for each device.
    • Identification of appropriate patches and updates.
    • Testing in QSI lab.
    • Remote distribution of packages to endpoints.
    • Validation of error free update installation.
    • Providing documentation needed to demonstrate that required updates have been applied for compliancy.
  • Optionally can include distribution of marketing campaigns created by financial institution.

Image Management

  • Creation of an ATM, ITM or other endpoint image stored locally on the endpoint.
  • Remote Image Restore is available to the RMC NOC for remote recovery.
  • Local Image Restore is available to service engineer for quicker recovery to reduce time by not requiring a complete software re-install on the unit.

Zero-Trust Security Solution

  • Base solution includes:
    • Allowlisting – Allows what you need, and block everything else, including ransomware.
    • Ringfencing – Limits what applications can do, whether it’s interacting with another application, your files, data, or the internet. 
    • Storage Control – Protect data from unauthorized access or theft by setting granular policies over storage devices.

EDR (Next Generation Anti-Virus)

Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) is an integrated endpoint security solution that combines real-time continuous monitoring and collection of endpoint data with rules-based automated response and analysis capabilities. 

  • The primary functions of an EDR security system are to:
    • Monitor and collect activity data from endpoints that could indicate a threat.
    • Analyze this data to identify threat patterns.
    • Automatically respond to identified threats to remove or contain them and notify security personnel.
    • Forensics and analysis tools to research identified threats and search for suspicious activities.
  • SOC (Security Operations Center)
    • QSI has an in-house Security Operations Center and incident response team.
    • If security event is detected, it will be addressed and reported to customer. 
    • Mitigation actions will begin immediately.

Electronic Journal (EJ) Upload

  • Electronic Journals are available through customer online portal for viewing and downloading. 
  • Available to download in .csv format for ease to sort, find and manipulate data as needed. 
  • Can meet multiple retention requirements. 

Remote BIOS Password Change

  • Remotely locks down your ATMs, ITMs and other endpoints against attacks from external media, such as a CD or USB, attempting to boot directly at the endpoint.
  • Only allows boot only from primary hard drive.
  • Adds a BIOS password to all the endpoints in a financial institution’s network.
  • Provides a mechanism to remotely update the BIOS password.
  • Enables no-touch password implementation and maintenance.

Hard Disk Encryption

Makes the hard drive unreadable through encryption which protects data at rest if the hard disk is stolen and taken out of the ATM/ITM or other endpoint.
